Come by the house for light refreshments and to help craft Calls for Art. We could really use a few more people as we return to juried shows! If you are an artist, we invite you. Don’t think you are an artist? You are! You are all artists, if you want to be! Time and again visitors tell us that they are not an artist, and then discover that yes, they actually are.
Later, you can join a jury! It’s fun, and you don’t even have to go anywhere — jurying happens virtually.
We will be doing this Art Cafe every Thursday in May!
Donations are always welcome, but, like everything else about the Millet House, there is no charge to come to this meeting. It’s important to us that everyone be able to participate, so there are no dues to join our art collective, and no fees to submit. All we ask is that you participate.
Below: Egret, oil painting by Andrea Rogers.
Andrea writes, “My life felt like a trap and this bird came in a dream, trying to fly but hitting it’s wings against the corner near the ceiling. I got up, spread out my arm and held it up to her for a place to land. Then we walked out together with her on my arm.”
