Free 12/16 Community Event: The Millet House Gives Back

In times of crisis, artists always step forward to console and to “explain ourselves to ourselves.”

Once again, the artists of The Millet House have stepped forward. “Radiance,” the theme of our new show opening December 16, will shine forth in our 2nd annual all-day Community Event.

On December 16, 10am-10pm, we invite you to join us as our volunteers provide a day and evening in which The Millet House gives back to the community. Scroll down for the schedule, which includes art, food, community, workshops, reflection and live music!

R.B. Anderson, “Radiant Spirit” — a work in our Radiance exhibit

Schedule:

10 am: lemonade, coffee or tea and an early look at the Radiance art exhibit.

Noon-ish: potluck lunch

Afternoon: art and music workshops

4pm-6pm: “Radiance” reception: come meet the artists! Light refreshments.

6pm: Outdoor ceremony culminating in the placing of a candle in our permanent memorial. We will circle, say goodbye to the past, and then turn to celebrate the life, the present and the future.

6-10pm: live music in our courtyard, with food available for purchase.

This was a beautiful event last year; you are invited to share in the joy this year.Special thanks to Princess Pita and to Augustin Sosa Landscaping for their support. Thanks also to our artists & musicians, who are volunteering their time and talent in the spirit of giving back
