Many of us experiencing lockdown were companioned by pets. Just a few that we know of: Amante, a cat so insistent on being the companion of a woman quarantining solo that he yowled at the door for three days and nights; a mama cat who gave birth to five kittens, new additions that delighted and entertained the whole family but especially one small boy; Dani and Gracie, longtime companions, now close to the end but absolutely ignoring age and illness in order to be there for their respective people through this period…
and beyond. Here is Dani.
